Kybella is an FDA-approved, non-surgical injectable treatment designed to reduce submental fat, commonly known as a double chin. It contains deoxycholic acid, a naturally occurring molecule in the body that helps break down and absorb dietary fat. When injected into the fat beneath the chin, Kybella destroys fat cells, resulting in a more contoured jawline and neck area. 

The procedure involves a series of injections into the targeted fat under the chin. It is typically divided into 2 to 6 treatments spaced about a month apart, depending on individual needs. Minimal downtime, with temporary side effects like swelling, bruising, or numbness in the treatment area. This provides gradual fat reduction over weeks to months, with long-lasting effects as the destroyed fat cells are permanently removed from the body. Kybella is a non-invasive alternative to liposuction for reducing double chin fat.
